PPM to PPB conversion

How to convert PPM to PPB:

1ppm = 1/10⁶ = 10^-6

1ppb = 1/10⁹ = 10^-9

So

1ppm = 1000ppb

The number of parts-per billion x_ppb is equal to the number of parts-per million x_ppm multiplied by 1000:

x _ppb = x _ppm * 1000

Example:

7ppm is equal to 7000ppb:

x _ppb = 7ppm * 1000 = 7000ppb
